Hello there 👋
My name is Luis. I was born in 1998 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I've had the extreme luck of living in different corners of the globe - from São Paulo (as a baby), to Orlando, Mexico City, Singapore, Vancouver, and now New York City.

Life is short. My philosophy is to learn and try new things whenever possible. I've picked up (and abandoned) many hobbies over time, but three passions have always stood: sports, engineering, and financial markets.
I'm fortunate to combine the latter two and call it a job. I'm a production engineer at Bloomberg's Ticker Plant - the core of its pricing infrastructure - where I'm responsible for the system's tick processing latency, production capacity, and for onboarding new exchanges.
This site is an attempt at solidifying a fourth interest, writing. I hope to share what excites me along the way, whether that'd be personal discoveries, project showcases, or strange little experiments.
